| Background Description / Mission Statement: |
China New Era Group Corporation, one of the enterprises under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, was established in 1980. As a synthesis group with its main line of business on defense and military facilities, it focuses on the integration of military and civilian goods and services in an effort to make full use of the national and international resources to provide high-end service and high-tech products for the development of national defense-related science, technology and industry. Our main business: the business of military and civil products trade and security that primarily includes military products trading and secondarily includes civil products, civil explosive industry, national defense research and consulting service; the business of engineering contracting at home and abroad and technical service that primarily includes general engineering contracting and secondarily includes service business covering the entire process of the project; the related industrial investment and management that primarily includes the integrated production of military and civil production and transfer of military technology to civil use.
Since establishment, the Group has financed more than 200 military enterprises and institutions in the form of investment and entrust loans with very good social and economic benefit and made important contributions to the national defense and economic construction. It has worked out scores of national, provincial and ministerial standards and regulations, and it has been awarded over 130 various kinds of special grants and qualification certificates by organizations such as the State Council, the Central Military Commission, the former Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense, the State Economic and Trade Commission, the State Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Land and Resources, the Ministry of Construction, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, etc. It has been standing in the forefront of the sector in terms of business scale and performance for consecutive years. |
CSR activities include:
- At 8:00 a.m., July 18, 2009, the grand launch ceremony of “Enter a New Era, Enjoy New Health Life” Guozhen Million People Walk was held in Yantai International Exposition Center Square. Leaders of Yantai City, the State General Administration of Sport and China New Era Group Corporation, Olympic champion representatives, public from all over the country and Yantai citizens joined the activity
Education Donation
- The Group supported education in its Fixed-point Poverty Alleviation project in Zhushan Country, Hubei Province and spread it throughout the country by building Hope Schools
Disaster Relief
-After the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, the whole Group took positive action to make contributions in various ways such as special party due and employee donation. Meanwhile, the Group dispatched relevant corporations to disaster areas to carry out post-disaster evaluations |
